MUSIC TECHNOLOGY FORUM
1.00pm - 1.45pm, Sunday 28th Oct '07 - The Block

The Upgrade Music Technology Forum entitled "Getting Your Music Out There” will get to the heart of many aspiring electronic music creators ambitions. The forum aims to open up the field of discussion to cover the essential factors artists need to consider when producing, performing, promoting & distributing their original electronic music. The forum will examine how the music making process is likely to change in the future (discussing the possible opportunities and likely obstacles) then finish with speakers responding to questions from the audience. To get in early with your question just email TRANS:COM directly at info@trans.com.au

OTHER DISCUSSION TOPICS
- How music production, performance & distribution has worked in the past, how the music industry works now, and what are the expectations for the future.
- How will technology further transform music production & performance.
- Music in the media - what possible issues need to be considered when artists independently engage with the media - online & off-line.
- Are music labels (as we know them) becoming extinct?
- How has digital technology transformed the way each speaker functions in their chosen fields.

WHO
Speakers will include TOM ELLARD (Severed Heads), ANDY BAGLEY (MusicLab & Pure Bunk), DENNIS REMMER (Trans:Com), and more to be announced.
